11 year old Nelly Morales is having problems. Her dad left home and her mom is miserable, so Nelly and her sister Tania must do extra chores at home and they have to mind their younger brother, Luis, while their mother works at a job. It isn't fair!

He loans her a book entitled Ferelina's Quest for Her Creator. Nelly takes it home and reads it aloud to her sister and together they discover the wonderful truth of God's Love.
